Alisa Star is a small town girl who grew up in Alexandria, MN. She is the youngest of three girls. Her family and friends, music, writing, sports, and lake activities filled Alisa’s childhood. Music has always been her true passion, and she has been singing and writing songs since she was a kid. Alisa has had the privilege to remain a returning artist at Moondance Jammin’ Country Fest for several years. She has performed at BB Kings and Tootsies in Nashville during CMA Fest, along with regular trips to Nashville to record her original songs. Not only have several of her original songs been on regular air play on various radio stations across the country, her originals have continually been selected for the BOB FM Tribute to Troops Album. Alisa donates a song every year to this album, and all proceeds are donated back to military families.
In 2014 she took home the IMEA Award for "Country Female Artist of the Year." And in 2015, she took home the IMEA Award for "Country Album of the Year." Alisa was picked as the featured artist for the year of 2014, by Renegade Radio in Nashville. Her album, "When Love Collides" is now available on iTunes and Amazon.
Most recently, Alisa was selected as a songwriter for Merf Music Group! Merf Music Group is a music publishing company based in Nashville, TN. They specialize in song placement to Major and Indie Recording Artists, as well as placements for Film, TV and other multi-media formats. They are a Grammy nominated, CMA nominated, Platinum record selling and ACM Album of the Year company who launched a Song Placement Pros division.
